Editor’s Pick: Top 5 Best Curry Powder
WHAT IS CURRY POWDER?
The spices and herbs in curry powder originate in India and are used to flavor foods. It is known for its heavy use of big and bold flavors, such as dried and ground chili peppers, turmeric, cumin, cardamon, curry leaf, etc.
In India and all around the world, curry spice blends vary based on the location, availability of ingredients and preference of the maker. A single curry powder does not exist.
From India, curry has spread around the world. It can be found now in many different cultures, including Japanese curry, Jamaican curry, and more. The word “curry” is actually a western invention, appearing in British cookbooks in the 18th century, drawing on Indian culture and cuisine, much like garam masala.

A. Question: is it gluten-free?
Answer: We understand that people with gluten sensitivities are growing in number. This is a great opportunity for us to provide you with some additional information and let you know that you have many options available to you that add the flavor you desire.
B. Question: What do you think? Do mild curry dishes still contain a lot of heat?
Answer: Spicy means different things to different people. Too much of this spice will overpower, but it will not be hot. If you get what I mean, it’s very spicy, but not hot. There’s nothing “hot” about this curry. It’s quite mild in that sense. However, it is very tasty.
C. Question: How spicy is this curry?
Answer: This is not the case for me. Nonetheless, it has a well-balanced taste. This is the only curry I can eat without suffering from an upset stomach. I recommend a Madras-style curry if you want something “spiced up.”.
D. Question: Is there a recommended serving size for the manufacturer only?
Answer: The spice in question is this. When cooking with it, it is used. You can use however much you like to suit your taste as there is no recommended serving size. For a dish that serves four people, I use at least four heaping tablespoons. For me, spicy is best.

How to Make Curry Powder?
There are several types of curry powder, all of which originated on the Indian subcontinent but are most often associated with British Indian cuisine. Curry and dal dishes can be flavored with this all-purpose “masala”. Curry powder can be bought off the shelf, but nothing compares to a homemade blend, and it takes only 15 minutes to make.
For a while now, I’ve wanted to share with you a homemade curry powder that is full of flavor and as authentic as possible. One of the reasons I stopped making curry powder blends is because they are so similar to garam masala. This spice blend, with foggy origins but a bold taste profile, seems to have lost its way in the discussion over where curry powder comes from and why it’s used.
